The JooJoo Web slate is based around a 12.1-inch diagonal 720p capacitive touchscreen. The specs include: 1,366x768-pixel resolution, a built-in camera, mic, and speakers, one USB port, and a card slot. There's 4GB of cache memory. The hardware is slim and pleasing to hold.

The screen is gorgeous, and huge, and the plastic back is gently curved. The unit is very slim, thinner than a MacBook Air. There are no buttons on the device, save the single power switch.

Flybook has updated its 8.9-inch convertible tablet style mini laptop – the Flybook V5 with Windows 7 and a touchscreen. A key feature of the Flybook V5 is the tablet PC can also be used as a laptop, when the screen isn’t folded over the keyboard. The laptop features a 1.2 GHz Intel® Core 2 Duo ULV(U7600), up to 4GB of DDR2 RAM, an Intel 945GM GPU, 2 USB ports, modem, Ethernet jacks, a VGA port, an ExpressCard slot and a 6-cell battery that should be good for 6~8 hours. It looks nice. I hope it is not too expensive and who is still using modems these days?
